Meet Vilmar Lara
Vilmar Lara was born in Chicago and raised between Orange County and Mexico, where resilience, hard work, and loyalty became the foundation of his character. At just 18, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, completing three overseas deployments to the Mediterranean, South America, and the Persian Gulf. After a decade of honorable service, he continued his commitment to country by joining the U.S. Army, serving multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. As the oldest in his family, Vilmar has always carried the responsibility of leadership on his shoulders— a role he embraced with fierce dedication both in uniform and in life.
Today, that same grit, discipline, and warrior's mindset fuel his mission in real estate. As cofounder of Velara Homes and known throughout the industry as the Sergeant of Real Estate, Vilmar now serves his community locally and globally through eXp Realty's powerful network. He is recognized as a relentless negotiator and trusted advocate who brings the precision of the battlefield into every transaction.
